What we believe

Our beliefs guide and inspire everything we do.  Here's what we believe as a church.
GOD
We believe there is one eternal God, Creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy, loving, all-powerful, all-knowing, and worthy of all worship. He created all things for His glory and desires to bring people into relationship with Himself.

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, revealed the Father, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and now reigns as Lord. Through His life, death, and resurrection He has defeated sin, death, and the powers of darkness, making salvation available to all who believe.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, the third Person of the Trinity, who glorifies Jesus Christ and empowers believers for holy living and effective witness. He convicts the world of sin, brings new birth, produces Christlike character, distributes spiritual gifts, and continues to work powerfully in and through the Church today.

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and are the trustworthy and authoritative Word of God. They reveal God's character, His purposes, and His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. They are our final authority for faith, life, and practice.

SATAN
We believe that Satan is a real personal being who opposes God and seeks to deceive, tempt, and destroy. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Satan's power has been decisively defeated. Believers share in Christ's victory and are called to stand firm in faith through the power of the Holy Spirit.

SALVATION
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God's grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His atoning death and victorious resurrection, we receive forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, new life, and the gift of eternal life. Those who trust in Christ are justified by faith and adopted into God's family.

WATER BAPTISM
We believe that water baptism by immersion is a public declaration of faith and obedience to Jesus Christ. It identifies the believer with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection and signifies new life in Him.

RIGHTEOUSNESS
We believe that through faith in Jesus Christ, believers are made righteous before God, not by their own works, but by the grace of God and the finished work of Christ. In Him we are forgiven, justified, adopted, and given a new identity as sons and daughters of God. We are called to live from this new identity, growing in holiness, confidence, and obedience through the power of the Holy Spirit.

SANCTIFICATION
We believe that every believer is called to a life of holiness. Through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, we are transformed into the likeness of Christ, growing in love, obedience, and maturity as we follow Him.

THE HOLY SPIRIT AND SPIRITUAL GIFTS
We believe that the Holy Spirit is given to every believer and continues to empower the Church today. He equips believers with spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church, the proclamation of the Gospel, and the demonstration of God's Kingdom. We encourage every believer to pursue the fullness of the Holy Spirit and to exercise spiritual gifts with love, humility, and biblical wisdom.

DIVINE HEALING
We believe that Jesus Christ continues to heal today. Because of His atoning work on the cross, we confidently pray for healing of body, mind, and spirit, trusting God to work according to His wisdom and purpose. We believe God heals through His sovereign power and continue to seek Him with faith and expectancy.

THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe that the Lord's Supper is a sacred remembrance of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. As we share together in the bread and the cup, we proclaim His saving work, celebrate our unity in Christ, and look forward to His return.

THE CHURCH
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus. The Church exists to worship God, make disciples, love one another, proclaim the Gospel, and demonstrate the Kingdom of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
